Carestream Health Signs Service Partnership Agreement with Med Imaging Healthcare in Scotland

New Partnership to Provide Wider Maintenance Coverage and Support for Carestream Customers across Scotland

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, September 28—Carestream Health signed an agreement on 1 July appointing diagnostic imaging specialist Med Imaging Healthcare as its service partner in Scotland. Under the new agreement, Carestream will continue to manage equipment repair calls and provide preventative maintenance for its customers across the country. Where necessary, however, requests for unplanned maintenance support will be passed on to Med Imaging Healthcare for Scotland. This approach will enable Carestream to provide wider coverage and support for its range of DRX-1, DR7500, DR3500, DRX Evolution Plus and DRX Revolution digital x-ray products in Scotland.

First formed in 1995, Med Imaging Healthcare uses its nationwide network of engineers to carry out independent maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment for NHS Trusts and private health organisations throughout the UK. The company’s commitment to high standards, ongoing staff technical training, customer service and reliability make it an ideal partner for Carestream. This approach translates into increased uptime of vital hospital equipment, ensuring patient throughput and satisfaction will be maximised for Carestream customers.

The new partnership will draw on Med Imaging Healthcare’s knowledge of working in Radiology departments across NHS Scotland to provide experienced engineers to maintain Carestream’s equipment. Mark Edwards, Finance Director at Med Imaging Healthcare, said: ‘Med Imaging Healthcare already has considerable experience of Carestream’s systems based on our approach of offering service over a wide range of hospital equipment. It is our intention to provide an excellent service for Carestream and its customer base throughout Scotland. We have therefore embarked on a rigorous joint training programme with Carestream that should mean our engineers can deliver the new service by early 2018.’

Gareth Hennedy, Carestream’s Key Account Manager for Scotland, said: ‘Quite often we are identified as the RIS and PACS provider across Scotland. However, we will never forget our roots, and our enthusiasm to develop and deliver Digital Imaging across Scotland will never diminish. .We look forward to working with Med Imaging Healthcare as our new partner in Scotland.’
